Howdy

Post by mags@port »

Hello all,

Just signing in and waving hello. Just brought a vtr from good friend and work colleague on this board.

Bit. About me, been around bikes on and off for a long as I can walk. Most recent bikes over the last 15 to 20 years, Zzr, Tl1000s, R1, RSV. The latter was sold due to having too many points and the love of speed.

Had a few years off bikes, then brought Honda cb750k 4 years ago, pretty much a pile. this is currently being rebuilt into a bike I have been wanting for years, a cruiser / blaster and simple one off bike for me. I also have xs750 waiting for same treatment, just love the sound of 70s triples. And also an old Vespa which has been on and off restoration. If you love the old jap stuff you grew up around then I am your man, don't hold that against me but I just love tinkering, changing, updating and doing what I want to bikes.

I brought the vtr, as I used it last summer so I know it's a good basis of a bike and will be the main bike for very long runs and scratching around on. Will make a few changes to it for what I want when time allows between other projects and work. I am based in the highlands and love the roads here, through not just now as full of pot holes from the snow and low temps a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway saying hi and will time to time will have a few questions, but more so banter and crack.
Break it, mend it, mod it, thrash it. If it's made then it's bettered by beer and goggles. Me bikes had Kwak ZZR, Suzuki TL1000s, Yama R1, Aprilia RSV. Now have VTR, Honda CB750 hand built brat/trickster, Yama XS750 and wee old Vespa.

welcome to the club, sounds like a good collection of projects in the garage, and as we all love the 70s and 80s jap bikes you can post some pictures when you work out how to.

Crap, he did sign up.
You can't join, Admin ban him before he causes too much trouble.
He can't leave anything standard, his taste in 70's bike is as bad as 70's porn.
Rides like he stole it, well it wasn't his anyway.
just barkin mad...

hold up,

mmmm,

crap, double crap......
he's just like the rest of us.....

Admin, ban him anyway as he likes red leather....

welcome along MLG
Don't hassle me
