Returning to the VTR

Post by lanny »

i have been away from the VTR for a while now but recently returned with a post to see if there were any up for grabs, unfortunately none appeared so ebay was trawled and has come up trumps.
I am now the owner of a 98 VTR with just 8700 miles and in lovely red.
It appears to be in decent condition and has been owned by the same guy for its last 14 years, he was sad to let it go but simply needed to down size his collection.
The plan is to get her back in shape and looking good again so likely to be more of a project for the first few months.
My last Firestorm was sold to VIRT not sure if he still has it or is still on here but it was a rare matte black bike with some quality bits on it, i also sold a few bits to other members i think it was Tonymon and maybe cheeky Kev.
First job is the cct's so since the last time of ownership are there versions to now consider over others?
Thanks in advance

Welcome back...Virt let it go, he ran it for a while with a 33bhp restriction kit then when he took it off he couldnt handle the power or something...Nah he was crippled by the insurance...He went through a few other bikes last being a CBR600 which has just been stolen off him... :(

I think the VTR was bought by Shaun Westaway in South Wales but I could be wrong, think he was painting it a different colour!

Re CCTs you can't go wrong with Bazza converts..bazza996 on here...gets a  from me had a few sets off him...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Well it will be easier to wash and keep clean than the Matt Black. Knowing you Lanny what you have got will allready be in pretty much in mint condition and and all standard non messed with.
