After a bit of practice with the scrap CCT which involved lots of filing to get stoppers square I just got various lengths cut in advance properly at a local engineering firm. £10 well spent I reckon.

Someone has at least had the carbs off before so hopefully valve clearances ok and might even find some stoppers!

It's all good learning...
