Hello!!

Post by Luthor1 »

Hi all,

got my VTR couple months ago, I had one back in 2004 with ear-bleeding ART end cans on!! After some time off a bike I got an MT-03 for a while, then had another time off, now back on a lovely Black 1997 VTR!! I'll get some pics... she's been dropped on the left side, looks like at about 5mph, and had the important things replaced and drives beautifully...

This weekend I'm going to loosen the engine and exhaust system all off to de-stress the Chassis as I have to hefty vibrations coming through... I've done the manual CCT's, balanced the carbs etc but still big vibrations :)

Say Hi!!

Andy

PS - I need to get to 50 posts before I can ask about the PENSKE shock in the for sale area - can anyone find out what model it is and what spring it has? I'll continue to chat away to you guys learning stuff until I can ask!! :cool2

Sounds a good idea mate. there would normally be loads of organised meets through the spring into the autumn, obviously this year has been very different!
Has your bike had the preventative maintenance, Reg/Rec sorted? Whilst there’s so much time available have a good read through the guide to new owners

Hello and welcome!
I'm new too. This seems like a very informative and friendly board. I think you will find it the same.
I'm afraid I won't be making it to any of the rides as I'm in the U.S. but please keep me posted on the shenanigans. Have fun and bottoms up!
