Wheel colour

Post by Romft »

Hi to everyone,

New to the group and thinking of buying a VTR and selling my CBR600F2.

My question is.....why do some VTR’s come standard with grey/ silver wheels ?

Many thanks, great looking site.

Cheers

Greetings

Most came as standard with a metallic dark grey finish the same as the engine covers - if you see differently either the wheels are from diff bikes (5 spokes are popular) or they've been stripped and polished or repainted / powder coated.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Year 2000 (and possibly 2001) they came with silver wheels. earlier ones are dark grey, later ones are mostly gloss black, the gloss black was a better paint finish than the earlier ones where the paint was thin.
