However I notice there are 2 sizes 10x1.0 and 10x1.25

What are the differences?

How to I check my original switch to determine which one I buy?

thread pitch i think.

Have made some progress with the build

I have decided to get it on the road without any more mods or even a paint job

Once it's running I can figure out how I want it to look colour wise as well as any further mods

Just removed the bushes in the rear of the engine that the swing arm pinion goes through

Had to get the dremel and carefully grind a slot to allow me to chisel it out, wiping it constantly to stop any bits going into the oil, as the pinion goes through the engine, open to the sump which allows it to get oiled

Calipers are all cleaned ready for painting as are the discs. I am waiting for some Metal Prep, from Frost Auto Restoration. It's an etching liquid as opposed to etch primer

This means I can us vht on the discs and calipers

Carbs are on and cables connected, the only problem is the throttle returns very slowly

Not sure why, nothing is twisted and both cables have a nice route as well as being oiled

Front light is mounted and works

Engine turns over and there are no oil leaks

So that's a good sign

Onwards and upwards as they say

it the carb butterfly snap shut when there is no cable on, then you need think the slow throttle return is either

the pull and push cable have no slack so are fighting each other

the grip is rubbing on switch gear

the grip is rubbing on the bar end

thread pitch i think
Correct. 1.0 is for Brembo's and the 1.25 is for most other brands IIRC.

The bike has been stripped of the alloy parts ready to be anodised

Been speaking to a local company and it looks like the price will be about £60. Result!

Take them in and another guy says the first one is wrong...£200_250!!!

I don't think so

Find another, about £90..... That's better

However they may not turn out too good because they are cast alloy and may be all different mixtures of metal

Goes to collect, and he is correct, most have blue tinges around the edge

So he agrees to strip it all off

They are now of for powdercoating

Parts back from anodiser, waiting to be coated

Going to see if the exhausts will be OK with PC
