Tank Cover

Post by kenmoore »

Getting ready to go to a Moto Guzzi rally in a couple of weeks.

Getting things ready and came across this Baglux tank cover second hand for $50 bucks.

This is sure to confuse people now as its hard to tell what sort of bike it is now.Image

In good nick and a fraction of the price for a new one !

They work very well, just dont be temped to get the largest bag of them all and fill it to the gunnels, the bag can interfere with the natural movement of you head/neck and give you a nice crick across the shoulder blades on long runs.

I use one when touring, my bags a bit large, but it's comfy to lean on when doing motorway miles, on the downside. if the bags fully loaded I can see my speedo, or any of my instruments for that mater.....

I would love to turn the engine around 90 degrees just to sh1t off all the Guzzisti.

I appreciate the feedback regarding tank bags.

When I load her up for the trip I will post some pics.

I have a set of saddlebags that I have had for years and a huge bag that goes on the back.

I am looking forward to this 3 day adventure and look forward to meeting a lot of new folks.

One of my riding buddies was the President of the N.S.W Guzzi club and is well known. Through his friendship I have met a lot of Guzzi owners and some of them are very eccentric and one eyed when it comes to their bikes.

I have been told that I am acceptable because my bike is a V Twin .I have even caught a few Guzzisti glancing at my bike from time to time and I love taking the piss out of them when they do and offering them a ride with the following caveat " Be very careful as you may want to go to the far side if you ride it "

Should be a good event !
