The trip to Andy at Junction 33 today was very fruitful. Having run it in a bit it's stopped smoking so the a/f sensor wasn't getting knocked out. After four hours I've got settings for closed and open airbox with the Mori exhaust fitted.

I'll post the charts when I get chance to scan them but with the lid it's bang on air/fuel and putting out 125bhp and 77 ft-lb at 9100 and 7500 rpm respectively. With the open lid we got 128bhp and 80.98 ft-lb at the same revs.

Thanks all. I'm bloody delighted. I just need to learn to ride it its potential now :eek2

I'll write up the Dyno visit in on my chart post. The guy I went to initially was good and I'd recommend him but I probably halved the amount of time needed by going to Andy, just because he knows the 'Storm.

I wish I've videoed the initital runs as I could hear the difference as well as see it on the Dyno.

Just the ring with the screw hols in to retain the filter, nothing else. Jetting is on the chart in the Dyno chart thread.

These jets are smaller than usual, bigger valves probably take a part here. My jets with lidless setting are currently 185 188 due to db killers, were 192 195 before.

It's been a while since I updated this; juggling too many balls and actually using the bike.

After the second Dyno session with Jct33 the bike ran noticeably better and was way smoother. I got lucky with timings and ended up with a back to back comparison at Oulton. Power delivery was perfect coming out of Cascades; I just wish I wasn't so scared of Clay Hill.

A couple of days at Anglesey finished off the season and now the bike is in bits again ready to go into the braced frame and swingarm, plus a little something from Stephan :D. Hopefully I'll be done by the end of Jan ready for a bit of lock-wiring and racing in May.

In the mean time I've been working on the bodywork and got a mate to paint it last week. He's no professional, by his own admission, but it's a passable job for free. And I'll probably drop it in my first race and it won't matter anyway.

The seat unit didn't get finished because the tape pulled the paint off. I was pissed until we stood back and realised the end result looked pretty good. The plan in the New Year is to tidy up the seat unit and then pinstripe the tank and mudguard to match. Stickers and a bit more lacquer and I'm done.
