WARNING: Contains a Yellow Storm

Post by SmileyVTR »

So really late posting these as done over the winter period...I'll create several separate posts with photos as that's the best way to help future searches, but pic of bike will be below (sorry, no wheelie bins):

*Bought some Bilt-Hamber Surfex HD and used it to clean all the hidden parts...OMG it's good stuff and boy the bike was grim!
*Set of Pilot Road 2
*Gold Renthal sprockets & chain set
*Carbon fender extender
*Painted front stanchions black
*Hydro-dipped wheels (yes, it's a "marmite" finish - but makes the bike unique!)
*Hydro-dipped belly pan and rear hugger (carbon effect)
*Professionally polished Micron cans
*Use of "4D Carbon effect vinyl" on various parts
(Plus treated myself to new HJD Rapha 11 helmet and dual set of Sena 10S intercoms)

Everything looks very mint esp the CF effect, except for the Jackson Pollock wheels.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Link pipes are massive!
(I need to respray them again but better)
On when i bought...guy had spent money on the pipes and modifying, fitting dynojet + k&n, then getting tuned.
So don't know what type they arr but i do know they work great

And re the wheels - i wanted something that makes the bike stand out, and be unique.

definitely achieved that. marmite - probably. my first impression was "that looks odd, why do something like that". having seen the photo somewhere else on the forum, the appearance is growing in appeal. it has real possibilities. a 3d marbling effect in translucent candy (with metallic flecks) over chrome powdercoat, maybe what comes out of the idea.
