Messing around in the shed

Post by Swampy »

In the beginning...there were a pair of used dirt bike barkbusters. Good quality "Made IN OZ" Tensile aluminium.

After a brief Introduction...hammer to vice like..

[a href="http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/tomal ... 5.jpg.html"][/a]

[a href="http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/tomal ... 7.jpg.html"][/a]

[a href="http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/tomal ... 4.jpg.html"][/a]

I did similar on a hare scrambler (sorta like yesterday... when I was younger) tied the bar ends to the triples triangulating them and never bent any more bars.

I'm calling them "Lanesplitters"

They just clear the fairing on left lock and touch on right. Was hoping to find some earlier clipons, a little lower.

Glass covers still in the concept phase. Done very little with fibreglass so cutting new ground.

Rather not lose the late model bars...be typically me to find out uncomfortably and later why the angles were revised.

Thanks for the offer anyway
