Rear shock spring Widths

Post by lloydie »

While ck and I are messing with the sssa ( single sided swing arm ) we have noticed a large size difference in the width of my white power shock spring and a standard shock spring .

So what I'm after is anyone with a aftermarket rear shock could you measure the width of shock spring please ?

I will keep updateing this first post as now measurements are post
I think it would be a good bit of info for anyone doing a conversion either exhaust or swing arm .
Thanks for your particapance :thumbup:

Standard ----- --80mm
White power--- 85mm
Hagon-----------73mm
Nitron------------85mm
Ohlins---==--- 83mm
Penske ------- --82mm
And any others

No idea if my spring is aftermarket or if it's just the reservoir thing.. I'll go check later if I have time though :thumbup:

Hagon is 73mm I think.
I made it 75mm with the shock sock on, but checking on Hagon's website it seems to be 73.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Nitron is about 85mm spring outer diam, but it was a bit dark and i was trying to avoid getting chain oil on my shirt, so I might update that later when i have a more serious look
