Nice. I had electro luminescent dials on my 7r. Really cool. Keep thinking about making some for the storm. Was your white face silk screened, or inkjet...?

Techy specs: White plasticard clock face backed with coloured transparent coloured vinyl. On the front: clear matt vinyl inkjetted decal. Put together with a dash of magic….

Nice, like that, couple of questions, how thick was the plasticard you ended up using and how dark is the coloured vinyl on the back?

cheers

Can't recall as I got various thicknesses of card and used the one that had the right translucency when paired with special translucent vinyl.

swapped my KPH faceplate to a MPH faceplate but having trouble getting the speedo to read accuratley. says im going 20 when im really doing about 10. any tips on how to get it where i need it? cant figue out what this means?
replace the needle to where you marked the face earlier .but dont push it on all the way as you may need to check its resting position by moving it up to the stop and letting it rest back repeat till you get it right . when its back in the correct place push it down till the needle is half way down the pin .

EDIT: well i guess i assumed (like the idiot i am) that you just replace the needle on the speedo so it rests on the pin..... not the case. didnt realize before you pull it off, you pull the needle over the pin and see where it rests... so i guess its a go with the good old fashion check it next to a car.... dont have a GPS

I wonder if you could do this instead of getting a Speedo heeler. :biggrin

Hello all.

I found this thread extremely useful. My LCD had burnt out (had the overcooked odour) and I was looking at affordable replacements. I had managed to pick up a full cluster for a good price. However, the cluster was off the Japanese model and I have an Australian model. The speedo on the new cluster only goes to 180km/h. Does anyone know which components of the old cluster I need to solder onto the new cluster to make it work properly?. Or am I going to have to fork out for a speedo healer?.

Thank you in advance.

It is old. I usually do a search for previous posts. No point starting a second thread about the same topic.
