If you don't try you never know if you can do it.
Re: Front and rear pistons?
As the others have said, many thanks for taking the time to do that and for supplying the photo's
Good question Rob, I wouldn't had thought there was a difference. I wonder if the JE high compression pistons are off-set the same
Chris.
Re: Front and rear pistons?
I Think so.
Consider that now, on modern engines (as for car as for motorcycle) manufacturers have two ways to reduce vibrations and friction: piston's pin offset or crankshaft offset (vs cylinder's axle).
Most used is pin's offset.

I've just had it confirmed that the JE pistons I'm going to fit can be used in either cylinder. That's direct from JE.sirch345 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2017 12:01 pmThanks for that information

That must mean the JE pistons are not off-set like the original ones are,
Chris.
Re: Front and rear pistons?
The Mori pistons are the same and also can be run in either cylinderfreeridenick wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 6:58 pm I've just had it confirmed that the JE pistons I'm going to fit can be used in either cylinder. That's direct from JE.
Though that doesn't mean they are not offset.
