Sales pricing

Post by thumperslaw »

I think we should have a thing about Pricing when selling stuff.

All things should be priced and if you are open to offers then Stick ONO on the price. That way it's clear what you would want for it and then it does not turn in to a Bidding war like Ebay.

This is my two pence worth tho

Sensible idea but in practice will it work ?

It took long enough to get people round to the idea of putting For Sale or Wanted in the title...common sense really but hey...

It could be incorporated in the rules quite easily I assume...but how many people read the rules ?

The new 50 post rule still has people asking why cant I post in sales & wants...

Anyway this post is far to sensible for me time Macify it...

I have a used pair of socks for sale £7.29 O.N.O.
I will wash & dry them if I get full asking price.
No test walks without full asking price in my good hand...

can we change the forum rules to make sure that any sock sales HAVE to specify size and details of any holes or threadbare areas?

It helps when people list their location as well.

I just simply ignore stuff now that ask's for offers. CBA unless the price is set and listed.

6-9 I think is the stated size, one hole in each sock where you put your foot in, other end to the toe end, which Al I think you'll find is the correct term not Sockend...

Sorry Thumper this thread has got out of foot...

And this time you can't even blame me.. It's nice to not feel guilty about something

I agree with thumper though. Whenever I see something like "make a sensible offer", if I have no knowledge of what said price would go for how can I even make a sensible offer?

that takes all the fun out of people posting mealiness post to get their post quantities up, and would reduce half the banter we have on this site.
