Lol but the dip isn't noticeable .
I'm having a play with a few different setting and parts to see if I can regain some mid range as its very weak there .

What about slight changes in the beginning? 2.25+2.5 pilots and needles dropped by one slot.

Yep I did that and was better but still not great .
I'm going to try a few more things then pop the cams back in and start all over again :-)

It keeps building power all the way to the limiter :-) as yes It does catch that rsv on the straights :-)

One tech tip.... I don't know if the advancer is helping you or not.

My HRC box does add advance down low but then starts to retard the timing as the revs rise.

Could be the cause of the 5K dip but they are a pain to swap out to see if you get a difference.

I agree with Mike actually and that is a very good point brought up. it will only get worse once you add cams too. You don't want to over advance things and then detonate. :eek2 If anything I think a -2 retarder would be better for you. You have already advanced the ignition by going higher comp hence the knock and suggested use of higher octane fuel with high comps. Note that Roger does not use the advancers either, he is not a fan.

Now you have gone high comp you need to tread carefully. There is no room for trial and error, just stick it in to try, see if if works kind of thing, see what it feels like attitude. You need to start calculating things more. Unless of course you don't mind experimenting at the expense of doing engine rebuilds.

It's all good fun :-) tho it did pull stronger with a standard advance in !
I'll swap it backout and see
