Parts wanted following crash

Post by jchesshyre »

As per my post in http://vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php ... f7a9412293 I recently binned my 'storm rather badly and need some bits for it.

I hope making one post with a list of parts is the right thing to do rather than a separate post for each part!

Please PM me if you have one or more of these things for sale.

I'll keep this list updated as I get hold of the bits I need.

[edit: all I need now is the following]

- Fuel tank in red
- RH radiator short hose to water pump

Seat or seat surround plastics?
I have a yellow seat surround plastic and a seat.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I should have a throttle tube and grip, probably both levers as well. there's a good chance I will have a small hose, I also have a rear brake pedal that's in need of heating and bending back into shape. all these can be had for postage, the only snag being I won't be in the uk until the 20th

With these replies you're probably covered but if you still need stuff I have:
RH rad. Painted black with rad paint. Serviceable but not great - bent fins and the bracket for the wiring has snapped off.
RH case - good but would need painting to look great.
Got some mirrors and indicators
Subframe that I could be persuaded to part with.

Thanks to the incredibly kind quick responses I've had on here I've got a fair bit of this covered already. I've coloured the list above to reflect this.

Will PM those who've replied above and who I haven't answered yet.

I need both. I need the plastic in red (not sure how a yellow one would look with the other plastics in red but  ). I'd just splashed out on a new Superhawk one from partzilla as well

I've had a couple of kind offers of tatty seats but if at all possibly I'm hoping to find a tidy one. How is yours Tony?
