I've got a couple of sets but I don't know if they are early or late. I'll see if I can work it out. I only need one spare set.

I'd have said not re the brake lines, definitely not if you have a qa throttle fitted.
Clutch is probably ok, just loosen a routing clamp to get more spare length.
Just try it.
All it'll cost you is another set of brake lines; they're cheap enough and you can sell on your old ones
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Stick with the VTR bars. There's a couple of later ones on eBay but they are in Oz and not that cheap (£45 ish each :eek2 (. There's one brand new old stock left bar on eBay too and that's in the UK. Shame there's no right to go with it otherwise I would have grabbed them as spares. Actually I could do with a right one as the end of mine has got a chunk missing. Oh well....one day Apex will be coming my way and I really like the idea of Aprillia forks like Al done.

The SV 650 clipons are easy to get hold of and will also improve the riding position, so that would be the quick, cheap and easy option.
