more fun and games this morning, dodging the showers again, finally got the rear wheel fitted, the rear caliper didn't want to play ball, but I got there in the end, I did come across some serious laurel & hardy mechanics tho...(me & carl)
when it came to adjusting the chain, something was wrong, with some minor investigating the mystery was solved....

when fitting the lhs end can, we never looped the chain over the can....DOH!
anyways, I managed to get it all back on, just in time for the weather to change for the worst again.
there's still a longish list of jobs to do, but i'm slowly getting there.
i'll post some pictures tomorrow.

barring lots of little jobs, it's almost there, my mate will have to wait until I get back from espana tho.
this morning I removed the side stand, because it seemed loose, I gave it a good clean and made sure it was straight, but after checking the side stand on my yellow bike, I realised it wasn't loose at all....doh!
at least it got a good clean and grease...
I then fitted a pair of oem fairing decals, you just can't beat the original imho.
i'm still waiting for the previous owner to send the single seat cowl and the paperwork.....
once it arrives i'll stick some vinyl number boards on to cover that nasty purple, that'll be the last of the purple thank god.
then I need to finish the rear undertray and fit new indicators, I still need to refill the brakes with fluid and bleed them. I also need to give the mid section of the headers a good clean.
then it's a thorough clean and mot....

I wish I had friends like you. Great work so far, how many hours have you invested and what are the payment terms?

sorry for the late reply fella, I reckon working 8hrs a day(dependant on the weather :( )
it's taken a week.
it would be quicker if I had a garage and better tools....
I've had to shell out on paints and materials, I've also used a lot of little parts from my spare bike, those parts will need replacing in the future.
I've still got a fair bit to do, but it should take too long to finish, all the tougher jobs have been completed.
here's a small video of how it sounds with the partial bafflectomy.
