And so - its nearly fnished !!!!

Despite wha people may think cable tieing the brake lever to the bars overnight improved the brakes no end. - just bled the banjo and now i have a good brake.

Fitted all the bodywork, so it looks like a bike now. Painted up the bib spoiler in silver so still have to fit that.

And i still need a golf tee to block off the front vacuum takeoff!!!!

Side stand is crap!!!! Very loose in the bracket and not very confidence inspiring.

I need to fnd a x-11 stand to replace it like i did on storm 1.

Only slight issue i have is sometimes when starting it backfires just before it starts. - any ideas?

It runs pretty well once started.

I'll do some photos of the finished article in the next few days.

If there's any air leaking on the front vacuum it will lead to combustion instabilities, pops and bangs in the pipe. Just happened to mine before Grainstorm when my front hose feeding the scottoiler detached. Burbble Burbble BANG Burbble BANG :shh:

As it's a 4-5mm ID hose it'd need a big round screwdriver to plug it completely - preferebly not a large flat head screwdriver that could tear the hose...

Use a bolt of the correct ID size pref one witout the thread all the way up the shaft, then use a small hose clamp on it to seal it fully...

By the way I have a couple of Blackbird stands in the cave if you need one...

I believe so yes...Being as an X-11 is a naked Blackbird...

Deff fits straight on, it just has a shorter toe stub on it...

Its finished!!!!! (nearly    )

Just need to get a coat of laquer on the bib spoiler and get that fitted
Just done a couple of photos of Storm 2.

She starts well and i've even had a ride down the drive to make sure clutch works etc.

So there you have her. A shedfull of work but well worth it
