Cheers Chris. Got it for £22 all in delivered so well happy with that. Even though my RR is working it's always in the back of your mind it may fail at any time.

Ok the regulator rectifier has been changed. It only took 30minutes and was hassle free  rather than chop the original wires I just un hooked the spade connectors from the plug and pushed them straight onto the R6 unit. I am getting a healthy 14.2 at the battery on tick over but have a minor issue. Just a daft question I lost my stand down light after this mod and thought it was related but how can it be ?. Anyway I went to go and test the bike on the road and with the stand up I put it in gear and it cut out :eek2 The safety feature seemed to working in reverse.I was just about to strip the bike again thinking what have I done when the warning light flickered. I then fiddled with the stand and all appears to be ok for now :shh: . One question though how much movement is on the stand when down.ie stand the bike up and wiggle it backwards and forwards(rear brake to gear selector) mine seems to move a lot as if spring loaded is it lose and causing the problem.

Cheers for that Stevie. So it's just bad luck and nothing to do with the RR ? Anyway it all seems to be ok now so don't know if I should fiddle as I may make things worse. :eh:
