It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Yep, and came with a spare pair of Remus cans, as well as the full Arrow single sider system fitted.

Bloody thing tried to throw me off on the test ride, though- seller didn't mention the race pattern shift, so I pulled away in second, then instead of changing up for third with a handful, it was first!

Luckily I was already round the corner by then....

Ah well, in the van and back home to the garage. I'll have a few pics next weekend.
And no, it's not one of the original Colin EDwards ones-they were sprayed by SprayBay as part of Honda's promotion, in 2002-2003, but this ones was registered in 2004 and painted to match by Dream Machine from new.
It's a close match but you can tell the difference... thanks to Cheeky Kev for his knowledge on these models.
But 18,001 miles, the major shims service isn't done, but I can do that easily enough.
apart from that, tyres need replacing, but apart from that, just what I was looking for, full system and pc5, should be enough grunt for now.
£5100- bargain.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I was always aiming at a 1 or 2 but wanted to get a few ideas out of my head to see if they worked on the Storm first.
I bought an SP1 engine a while back to see what the differences were, apart from the obvious gear driven cams.
But if I bought a 1 I would have fitted the 2's better injectors and loom, so it seemed easier to just go for a 2 straight off.
And this was cheap, for the spec.

I no longer have to try to use it for the commute, so it's just a sunny day and Forum weekend bike.
And hopefully, if I don't wreck it and keep it fairly clean it'll be worth more when I get round to moving it on.

Lastly, I won't have to work quite as hard to keep up with Malc and Alastair
Wonder what it'll do on the drag strip?

Ive ridden both, the SP1 was horrid tbh, jerky and the one i tried was either off or on so to speak. The SP2 was far better and grunty beyond belief. That was until i tried a KTM. They must have a really short stroke as there so punchy. The Storm seems to have a far longer stroke but the power seems spread out more. You will like it iam sure. And i think they will be worth more money if kept original in years to come.

My wrists would drop off these days after about 20 miles. I need my butt lower than my hands. I shall look forward to seeing it.

Its a good feeling when you have a bike you gel with.
