GT 85 or ACF 50

Post by Pete.L »

What are people using this winter?
Do I use the cheaper GT85 and apply it more often or go for the more expensive ACF 50 but from what I have read not apply it so often?
Or is there something else out there which folk prefer?

ACF-50 but buy the bulk stuff with the spray pump bottle 950g not the spray cans 369g...Yep it's pricey but so is your new bike is it not...

Work out on your abacus that the bulk is 2.5 x's more than the can so works out cheaper + your not paying for the propelant which runs out still leaving expensive product in the can...

GT85 I've used this for years, basically wash the bike and spray this everywhere.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

my mate tried acf50 and thought it was ####
I have an old c15 sat outdoors with a cover on, but the forks are a nightmare to stop rusting so I watch a youtube vid on different types like this and sore double TT
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Double-TT-Mai ... 53fc4a093c
this stuff is great and has kept the rust at bay for about a year

this is the youtube I watched before I brought it

I've used both, acf50 is very good, spray it once and walk away(unless your going to ride and wash the bike), but it ain't cheap, Halfords are doing gt85 for £3.99 a can, so you can get roughly 4 cans to 1, it's your choice....
