Jesus, bloody lucky you noticed. Are the cush drives knackered, this would account for stresses on that part of the chain.

2001 bike, under 8500 miles, original chain, cush drives are fine. It happened last week at Brands Hatch although not that different from road riding and wheelies and stuff, I guess track stresses are different on the over run, flat out 2nd gear down graham hill bend then shut off at max revs and into the left hander would have stressed it quit a bit. Not acceptable on a new chain but this one is old.

Really didn't want to be spending on a new chain though, it was hardly stretched and I'm not using the bike much :(

Might have to make Devon storm cut backs, one loaf and a yoghurt pot of chilli might have to feed us all 8O

I knew of a guy who could feed a thousand on a loaf of bread and some fishes. If you can part the waters, that'll be good enough for us :
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal

If you aren't in a rush, I'll PM you a good deal I've found for a chain.

EDIT: Looks like they've taken it down, I better go check what arrived today! 8O

They've sent the correct thing, I guess they just didn't want people buying £44 X-ring chains
