I did find something I thought was interesting once I had a VTR engine in bits. The pistons did remind me of some I had used in the past.
So here you go VTR pistons on the left but what did the one on the right come out of?
Guess the piston.....

Re: Guess the piston.....
im guessing its from an american v8 engine
4000cc divide by 8 equals 500cc
small engine for the Americana
4000cc divide by 8 equals 500cc
small engine for the Americana
told you not to but oh no you knew better
Re: Guess the piston.....
well, it had 4 valves per cylinder and the valve cut-outs seem to indicate valves that are splayed apart quite a bit, like an old Honda Pentroof design (with a 60-degree spread angle), so I will go with an older big-bore Honda single, like an XL or XR 500.

Re: Guess the piston.....
You sir are correct.....Here is the states it is a common sight as it is a piston from a small block Chevrolet. In fact the one pictured is my door stop...lol
The 4 valve cut outs are so it can be run in either bank.
It is a 100mm piston and was used in 4 different displacements depending on the rod and crank combo. They were the 4 "performance" based engines which were the 302 ci or 5 liter, 327ci or 5.4 liter, 350ci or 5.7 liter and finally the 383ci or 6.3 liter

Re: Guess the piston.....
Good post Hawk, think you might have hit on a new topic thread. Guess the mechanical item and it’s use??
