Ian, your nuts.
Yes your Aprilia is a flying machine, but I disagree about the 1290. Ok, I only had a shortish blast on that GT, but I'm still grinning.
I can understand it doesn't have that Powerband rush of some bikes, but gawd does it pull.
Not sure how yours rides, but all the VTRs I've had never really had that band feeling either.
And whilst a KTM is going onto the Christmas list, I'd still always have a Storm in the shed.

The KTM suspension was mega. But I was always looking at the tacho, not sure where I was. Don't feel the need to do that on the Storm.

The Ape is a different beast. Not suitable for comparison. It's a bit like a big LC Yam (with lots of mid range).

You can stick a pair of vfr800 bars on, no need to change anything except part of the fairing needs grinding

Makes a huge difference
