katana Retern

Post by Pete.L »

I've been seeing quite a few rumours around the web for a while but now it looks like the rumours are becoming a reality :D
I quite like the look of this, even if it is a Suzuki.
Whatcha think poppers?

Also been following this since the start of the rumours... the silver shark lives again. Must say its stolen my heart. buuut saw they have a kind of target price of 11.5k - no great surprise i spose but i guess im just going to have to become a contract killer to raise the money :biggrin

mmmm I am still undecided.

I am a huge fan of the original Katana, and I also love some of the homebuilt, kat based, beasts on the ACS [Aircooled Suzuki) site with USD front ends and monoshock tail and perhaps even a turbo. they are what an evolution of the Katana shoul look like

........ so the new one just looks a bit watered down and sterile for me.

Pete, is it not just a set of new plastics on your bikes base platform .. but at least it solved the droopy tit problem

Also undecided. Like the Kawasaki H2, these bikes have too many angles and sharp contours for my taste. I suppose I'll have to adapt with hope that Honda doesn't follow suit with the 2019 Blade.

Same bike, different higher seat, no droopy front and a 12 ltr tank.
not sure who it is aimed at to be sure?
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

Yep!
Stu is right. I don’t know if there will be any different power figures but that’s the basics of it so far.

Love the icon 1000. There is a great vid of it on line somewhere

I quite like it, I don't like the 12 litre fuel tank, I think they could have still had the styling and made the tank a useful size, a bad move which will limit it's appeal.

Saw a photoshop the other day of the new Katana with fancy front end, a pipe and a few other subtle mods, it looked awesome.

Kat pics are always good 8)

I can't say it grabs me like the original did. I would like to see one flesh so-to-speak, I might think different then.

I agree with Al (AMcQ46), some of those modded bikes he has posted look the business 8)
