Sat nav mounting options

Post by jchesshyre »

Having recently invested in a Chinese fairing kit, including plastic tank cover, I can no longer use my small magnetic tank bag to hold sat nav. I also have a large strap-on* but don't want to always have to use that whenever I want to use sat nav.

What are people using on the Storm for GPS mounts? Most of the handlebar-mounted ones need more space on the bars than we have (i.e. they're not meant for clip-on handlebars).

Ram type ball mount bodged into the head stock hole. I copied another on here by drilling through a wine bottle cork, ram bolt through that with nut at the bottom, insert into head stock then tighten up.
Yes it could be higher, but does the job.
