Seat

Post by felix barrao »

Hello.
After some searching in the forum, I don´t find info about that.
I´m planning to upgrade the seat on my firestorm. I did in my transalp 10 years ago with a topsellerie unit, and I´m very happy with it.
It´s not very expensive, you can configure it ( different fabric in different zones, logos, etc) , and this month the gel is in offer, ( almost free option).
I´m looking for their response to know if the rear plastic cover fits in the new seat.
Do you have any experience about this? any other brands or places for the new upholstery?

Thanks

Yes if the pillion part is treated to the same amount of new foam as the front, it wont fit.

If carrying of pillions isnt a high priority get them to do the rear part without too much foam then you wont have a problem.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Thanks.
Topsellerie has confirmed to me that the plastic will fit, so, no problem.

That looks nice, is the passenger seat longer at the front then? Out of interest, did you send yours to them or a complete new seat?
(Not for me as I have a Sergant one but others are always asking.)
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

I selected the standard one, but yes, the rear seat seems a little longer.
I had 3 options when I ordered it.
- Send the old seat, and wait 4 weeks.
- Pay 20 extra €, then they send a new seat and I return the old one
- Buy a complete seat, ( expensive, about 140 € more)

Finally I bought a used seat on ebay and sent directly to topsellerie from the seller. It cost 60 € shipped, and I keep the original seat. The total cost has been 240 plus 60, total 300€ the complete seat.
I opted for the gel option in the front seat, and you can configure the seat with different colors, textures, fabrics..
