If it's a dealer then that price is to be expected...

Private its a bit rich unless it has loads of goodies on it...

Even with that mileage personaly I think 2k is still a bit much, that bike has been doing a lot of sitting around all sorts of rubber seals will have gone hard, it could need a few bob spending on iot to get it tickity boo...

Hmm, could be right. Looking at the MOT history it's done a few miles each year though so not a stationary museum piece.

It has no goodies. It does look like a new bike, that's all.

I realise I can get one for half that price these days... this though, I think, I could happily keep for a decade.

It's a private sale.

I think the price is fair but you should make a lower offer, everyone likes a deal. Not many around with that low miles, it's important to know that it is all working with no issues. I re-commissioned a very low mile one a about 3 years ago (it had sat unused for 10 years) and it needed a new tank and carbs due to rust and old fuel. the bike was in mint condition though, other things were more straight forward, overhauling the brakes and fitting new tyres and pads, manual cam chain tensioners, and £1k bill for the owner.

There's one currently advertised on here for £3k with 25000 miles.

My Anniversary storm for sale
Post by bigrich » Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:41 pm

After owning the bike for 12 years my 6ft8 frame no longer like the riding position, therefore looking to sell in order to get something more roomier.

I will take pics and add if there is any interest, mechanically very sound, manual ccts brought from here, standard remus pipes, high level carbon remus and low level stubby microns included if required.

There are fairing lowers, clear rear light, carbon effect smaller indicators.

15 tooth front and 43 tooth back gives a real nice power delivery, had a Speedo healer that calibrated the clocks to the Speedo.

Seems tidy.
If it's the spec you're after, buy it.
If you want something different, buy a not so good one at half the price and get it to the spec you want.

No point paying top dollar then changing everything.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Looks pretty standard - an odd extra 'firestorm' decal on the lower half of the fairing. Possibly cheap because its an import with Km/h speedo.

Budget for manual CCTs, upgraded R/R, rear shock linkage service, and take a gander under the ruber hood on the starter for corrosion.

If you want nice shiny headers without the labour of polishing the OEM one:

Mr 916, I've dropped Bigrich a PM about his Anni Storm asking him to contact you.

Keep an eye on your PM box, top right of the page, you'll be able to read it but not reply yet...

I've sent you one so have a look...

Mac
