The honda for sheer comfort and a reasonably sporty ride or the KTM for sheer madness...…….

How old are you looking at, honda is the sensible one, ktm just FUN.
New versions, I'd have the SD GT.,
Cash wise, go look at the GSX S, best bang for your buck...
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

Personaly I found the GSXS to be less organic and more like a stiff sled that just went fast. :silent: 8O

I'm trying to work out what you mean there, do you mean as a less involving ride? Or less cornering ability. I will admit to it being very disappointing sound wise. Be good to get others opinion :D

Pete L has a GSX-S and has done lots of miles on it.

As for original choice, CB1000 will be reliable, they are good bikes.. KTM reliability ???????

When I rode the GSXS it was extremely stiff over bumps, tended to vibrate thru the bars and just seemed to go fast in a straight line and not much else.
The 2 Hondas I tested were on 16 plates so the tri colour ones and were just a real joy to chuck around, they did have end cans on so this added to the enjoyment.

Cool, yip stock suspension is rather crude. Never took the honda out as Mr Suzuki had a deal on that was too good to turn down. It's still a far better machine than my capabilities.
