Exhaust, tell me why....

Post by NZSpokes »

My LH muffler is much louder than my RH muffler?

Maybe I need to open up the restriction in the RH pipe to make them the same?

You need to repack it as the left is the main one and the right is the over flow

They must be hard on packing, I did it 3 months ago. But she does seem louder than before.

The standard system is a tuned system .
The only mod to do to it is to fit race cans and reduce the welds on the inlets leave the rest be

If it helps I found this response a good while ago about it all, I found it funny and informative:

I think we need a full range of exhaust systems and headers represented at the next Dyno day. then we can see what each one is doing.

on my headers I have just removed the welds at the joint to the heads didn't touch the intersection.

those Remus pipes I have on now are running so well, I think I have filled in the mid range dip as well as having extra at the top end. best set up the bike has had and obviously working well with the inlet trumpets.

and to top it all the fuel consumption is slightly better too............ hence I just need to check on the dyno that it is not too lean :(

I'll refit my mori for the Dyno as I can't have the banana beating the frog !!
