New motor in, running mint, out today, and im positive the tensioner has gone! hopefully cut the bike off before any damage occured!

will taqke it to bits tonight and see what the crack is, it will most likely be front tensioner?

Most likely front, as the rear self-lubricates as oil can run down into it.
Front is above the engine, no oil runs uphill, sadly.

And it's the hardest to get to.....
Did you use your old tensioners, or the ones in your replacement motor?

I know I'm cynical, but sometimes when you buy a 2nd hand motor there's a reason for the selling of it :thumbdown:

yep front it is, bloody hell man!

seriously cba with sorting this out feel like torching the bitch, theres absolutely no room to work on the front mind is there!

obv the timing is out, i hope its survived as i let it run for literally seconds before i switched it off. Guess all i can do is time it up fit tensioner and give it a test really lol.

Just when i need my torch too i cant bloody find it! urgh!

well new tensioner in, timed up.

turned it over via socket on the crank and it seems to be turning over fine.

so will finish it all off tmoro and see if it runs haha!
