Which rear brake pads do you recommend?

Post by Flatline »

I use the rear brake a lot and would like it to be stronger

What pads do you lot recommend?

Is it possible, or even necessary to upgrade the callipers etc?

I fitted some GG pads, can't remember which make, better bite and enough grip to lock the rear with a hefty boot, they won't last quite as long, but I've got more than three years from the last set.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Nothing wrong with the standard Honda Nissin pads, service the caliper, braided hoses they will be fine for normal road use plus more, try it, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the outcome :D
People keep complaining about brakes, what they seem to forget is these things do need servicing regular to keep them in tip top working order, neglect anything and it evantually stop working in the manor it was designed to
Can't comment on what to use for track because I don't do it

I have standard Honda pads in the rear like every one has said before give the caliper a service you will be surprised how caked up they get inside. I personally don't use the rear that often and on track ive even taken the foot lever off so i can never use it as makes more harm than good so i have found.

Yeah I know I wasn't referring to you personally  I was just saying in general there seems to be a lot of people complaining lately about their brakes and was wondering if they're looking after them properly in the first place :?:
I use my back brake a lot too, many a time when I've got cheekyads on the back I have to use it to pull me in round the bends so I can keep up with all you solo riders :D :D
