Yes but no but yes but no but...

Forget anything with a part number starting SH...

Go for a Mosfet type will have a part number starting FH...

Various ones to choose from, Yamaha, Triumph, BMW.

They will be a bit dearer but are far less likely to go pop.

Yes they are. I bought one from the same listing, same seller. Genuine part.

It's the revised one with the cooling fins, no issues so far.

Revised in that it now has fins on it, they are still tiny compared to a Yam R1/R6 unit &...

...It's still not a Mosfet type tho so still susceptible to burning out...You pays your money.

No R1/R6 is not a plug & play, different conector blocks. However with a bit of patient's, a very small screw driver or a pick you can unpick the conectors from the Honda block & then push fit on to the Yam R/R...saves choping wires on your loom & having to re crimp them...

I have just tested my regulator as per this video,
mine checks out okay, could it be the stator?

You can visually check it to see if it has blackened windings, when they should be coppery. But first get the battery tested if you're having charging problems and the R/R has tested okay.
