Hmmm.... Bought a new battery, and everything was just fine. Used it for some weeks now, but yesterday the bike wouldn't start after I stopped. Looks like it's not charging and just emptys the battery. Any ideas?

Check your starter motor connection they can rust and check all earths and check the regulater and recharge your battery

I've used Motobatt's for a couple of years now, more than capable of turning the lump over on a cold morning, full charge the battery & get a multimeter on it, check the voltage whilst it's running to see if it's charging or not from the r/r. There is a topic on here that tells you exactly what sort of outputs to look out for, but I can't search for it at the moment.
I'm in the process of getting a new Motobatt, MBTX12U is the one you want for a 97-00 Firestorm, later years are MBTX9U batteries, I'm also getting a new r/r just in case

Thanx! The bike has stood still for two years, and been driven without front fender, so in wet conditions it's been a hell :eek2
