A simple search (top right hand corner) turns up these relevant threads

sp1 or sp2 swing arm > https://vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=35506

SP2 Swing arm project > viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21286

Most of us have now run into the dreaded photobucket broken link image
546259-photobucket-3rd-party-hosting-broken-image.jpg

The good news is, as long as the image uploader has not deleted or moved the image location from photobucket it is still viewable by all.

And depending on your computer settings, once viewed directly may actually load in the browser as "normal" once you relaod the page, though that has been hit or miss for me.
So if you see the PB broken link 3rd party hosting image, grab the image URL, past it in a new window and it should be viewable.

Search photobucket and add "photobucket embed fix" to your browser.

That much better, thanks Wicky for the links

My advise to anyone with photo's on the forum they do not have backed up at home is to save them while you can.

Photo's that you have added to your threads ruin a topic if they are not available to view anymore,

in answer to your question, yes you can
I'v run an SP2 swingarm in my 97 vtr. since 2012.
take a look at, VTR swingarm and USD fork conversion, workshop section, page 45.
if you need any help, or technical detail's let me know.

Thank you very much, you've solved a lot of doubts.

Just one more question:

The rear rim is the genuine one or the SP2 one?

hi, no the rear wheel I used is a 2006 fireblade ( 1000rr ) and spacer's
with a sp2 wheel spindle.
the blade wheel spacer's are a perfect fit, no machineing.
