you mite find it as easy and cheap to pick up a set of secondhand carbs ?
the older i get,the faster i was :lol:

I used this setting for 45, 48, 50 jets, and in std and modified stage 1 engine. I don´t say it is the best setting you can achieve, but as a starting point, it is working everywhere well enough in my experience.

Finally got my VTR sorted :D
I ended up buying a second hand pair of carburetors (they were a lot cheaper than I thought they would be) which had good needle jets, swapped them over and cured the shitty low rpm running. I'm pretty happy had been working on it since early January!
I do plan to try and repair my original carbs by working out how to remove the worn needle jets and getting some new ones made.....
