Recognise this?

Post by rockethopper »

I was shoving some cables behind the clocks the other day and head something fall on the floor. This is what I found, any idea what it is?

I'm guessing it can't be too important as things seem to work and whatever that yellow stuff is can't be exposed to much as it's still pretty yellow for an 18yr old bike...

Any suggestions greatly appreciated and thank you for all the great content already on here - I've been a long time lurker!

Im sure someone will come along and correct me but it looks like a vent for your headlamps, possibly clocks.

That's my feeling too....a rubber to cover a ventialtion hole on the back of the headlight and to prevent water getting in. Ventilation to help prevent the steaming up with condensation.

That's exactly tight, it just pushes onto the rear of the clocks, Upper rh side as you sit on the bike. Near the headlight aim adjuster
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
