Late model fuel tap

Post by VTRsquid »

Hi guys. Haynes manual does not cover it and i have a workshop manual that covers the wrong models.
How to you disconnect fuel line on models with frame mounted c0ck without recreating exxon valdez?
Pinch the line? Surely there is a proper way?

Yep just 'pinch the lines' I used to use a pair of long nose mole grips but with rubber tube on them to protect the hose.

I've since bought a set of hose clamps...

Like these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3Pc-Flexible ... SwT2daMVeu

Or drain all the fule out of the tank...

Or find, buy & fit a Valderado fule tap...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Fit some 8mm or over quick disconnects to prevent having the same problem next time.
They're cheap enough.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
