How can you tell the difference between a 19ltr tank and the smaller one?

If you have the tank at hand then you can look at the petcock... the small tank has the petcock bolted directly to the tank which is held on with 2 small bolts and with petcock removed will leave you with a hole for the filter to pass through with a small hole either side to bolt the petcock in place... anything other than that will be the larger tank. Also if at hand or if a suitable photo showing the top of the tank then you can go by the shape of the tank around the fuel cap area.. example below.. the yellow tank being 16lt and the black tank being the 19lt... notice on the black tank the raised triangular shape forward of the fuel cap... Any other methods ie decals or filling the tank up (unless it's already on the bike) is either unreliable or a waste of time.

Ah

I'm guessing you're the fella I sent the message to on eBay?

Was just so you were aware it's a 16l. I'm 100% on that.

Good luck with your sale though.

Rob
