Front Sprocket Movement

Post by kenmoore »

Recently replaced my chain and sprockets with a DID Xring chain and J.T steel sprockets and notice after tensioning the front sprocket bolt I can move the sprocket sideways a couple of Millimetres towards the crankcase.

Is this normal ?

The sprocket concerned has a rubber pad on it to run quieter .

The original didn't .

Anyone who has a Coerce sprocket cover can check easily to see if theirs does it and I would appreciate any replays.

Thanks guys

Cheers from OZ

They are supposed to be able to float like that.

The rubber bit is for noise and the OEM sprockets have it while most aftermarket sprockets will not
