Carb spares.

Post by Bikerbob »

I have been offered (free) some carb rebuild kits for a CBR 1000 , is there likely to be anything in there I can use on a vtr?

Main jets will fit, but will be the wrong jet size.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I will be surprised if anything is useful for the VTR carbs, but I have been wrong before

Thanks guys, I guessed as much. I have acquired all sorts of stuff from cleared garages. Yesterday a free New Clarke 6" bench grinder!, Which will allow me to fit some polishing wheels to my old one. Also a free 1/4" drive socket set, good for vtr small spaces?.

The extra bench grinder will come in handy, and so will the 1/4" socket set

forgot to mention there is also a box of 4 ngk CR9EIX iridium plugs , think these would fit a VRF but not sure about a VTR although they look about the correct heat range?.
