ABBA Pro stand adapter question

Post by StewartR »

Hi,

Ages back I bought some ABBA stand adapters for my 2000 FY and the near side is too big. Verniers suggest I may need around 7.5 - 8mm but the one I have is much larger than that - bigger than the offside in fact.
Is there a difference year to year or model to model or was I just sold the wrong pair?

Any reason why I can't turn the one I have down on a lathe?

Cheers,

Stewart.

Same all years...

Here are some pics with sizes, someone wanted to make some...

The bigger one is a cup, it's smaller end fit's into the Abba, the cup goes over the nut on the swingarm... The smaller of the two, the small end goes into the hollow of the spindle...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

You might have the set for an SP1, they were out that year.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Are this the ones that fit the swingarm and rear wheel spindles Mac :?:

Chris.
Swingarm spindle only... Lifts in the middle of bike to raise the rear off the ground... In theory you could get two adaptors the right size to fit the rear wheel & lift it that way but then you wouldn't be able to get teh wheel out...sp a bit pointless...even typing it out...
