I will either have to wait until next Summer to try that one out or paint my bike Yellow. But if you have a good coating of wax it is bound to make it harder for anything to stick and anything that does attach will be far easier to remove.

Well folks I have been at it again. Just spent the last 5 hours washing, cleaning and waxing. I decided to give it a thorough going over and remove all previous coatings and start again.

I started with spraying some Bilt Hamber Auto-wheel over my wheels and calipers. While that was soaking in I gave the chain a degrease with a strong mix Bilt Surfex degreasent, I also gave some other bits a degrease as well. Once that was done I gave the wheels and brakes a good scrub with a brush to agitate the Auto-wheel. By now it had all turned Red and dripping everywhere so rinsed it all down.

I washed the bike with some G3 Detox which removes all precious coating of wax and stuff, then dried the bike off. I then gave it a coat of Bilt Cleanser polish, two coats of Bilt Finis-wax and finally 2 coats of Bilt Hydra-wax. I applied this to all my paintwork and I also done my mirrors, cans, dash/windscreen, hugger, pretty much everything apart from the engine and wheels. I gave the wheels a coat of Liquid Shield.

Once this was all done I went around and re-greased/WD-40ed whatever needed doing. I wiped my chain over with old engine oil and then gave it a squirt of Muc Off Teflon chain lube. Engine had a wipe over with some old oil on a rag. I also gave my plastic controls, light switch etc a wipe over with this as well. My bike is looking nice and shiny and nearly ready for it MOT. I need to tighten my head bearings a tad as I notice a bit of play when I had it off the ground :(

It's looking lovely and shiny. So that's.....
1 coat of Cleanser Polish
2 coats of Finis-wax
2 coats of Hydra wax

The only thing I haven't done is polish my rearsets. I may get out tomorrow and do that. I have some Bilt Auto-Balm to try.

As you have gathered I am a bit of a Bilt Hamber fan. Lovely products that does what it says it does. http://www.bilthamber.com/

I removed any bins  and took some quick pics of how my bike is looking.

They are, but I'm not polishing them again, it's a waste of time. I may get some Gold titanium weave and wrap them. It's either that or ceramic coating, but I'm pulling towards wrapping them eventually.

inspiring Carl.

Reading the first post though one thing gives cause for concern. As an alpha male biker bloke like all of us why is this important carlo
I also am not that impressed with the application as I felt it is quite runny and a bit milky. It also does not have a nice perfumed smell too it

The nuts and bolts looked worse than that. I done what I could, but should taken a toothbrush too them really. The worst ones are those calliper bolts. Winter has taken it's toll :(

How did you MOT go today mate?

I like the way with the first photo in the thread it looks like the rear wheel is spokeless.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
