Love that kick at 10,0000 where it suddenly develops 30bhp more. That must be a handful in the wet......

It's still running very lean after 4K, though.

that the last run before the jetting was made better 48s pilots and before the bigger box went on .
2 weeks till its back on the dyno .
im takeing some 5 minute epoxy with me in case i have to fill a lift hole
and 50s pilots
and lots of mains
i aint leaving till i get it right

The 50s actually might not be a bad idea as your headers are not standard. Also I know a lot of people use 48's but with non standard headers and because we are in a cooler more temperate climate, the 50's could work.

Have you got the 3rd dynojet hole in your slides or are talking about Blocking 1 of the honda ones in each slide as you have the billet stacks.

And as you know it's popping lots below 3k on the over run so I'm thinking it might be still a little lean

I haven't done a lot of experimenting with the lift holes with a DynoJet kit. Their whole idea with the extra lift hole and lite springs is to get the slides to open faster and get on the needles quicker.

While this works well with I4's it's not what these bikes like, IMHO.

Now for your dyno chart, by the fuel curve it does look like you would need at least one size larger mains and maybe pull the needles up a touch with that dip between 4.5K & 6.5K.

dunno. never done it but I would assume it will be a whole lot easier to do it when the engine is out...

Hi. Well i have found my rattle in front of engine ...could anyone possibly give me an idea of how this bolt has come to rest on top of front intake valve. .

Yes, you can remove heads with the motor in the frame.

And no, that bolt shouldn't have been able to get there so someone has dropped it in while the carbs are off.

Hopefully by mistake....

Did you check for the top hat that goes in from underneath and usually hides in any grass underneath where you're working after you've dropped it?
At least they're magnetic so a magnet on a stick is your best friend.

I gave my needles and floats a coke bath for 24 hours and then some toothbrush and carb cleaner for a few hours more and the cleaned up a lot

Somebody had been here before me, stripped bowl screws and the screw slot of one pilot is heavily chewed

Also one needle is in a very advanced state of wear

This bike has 45 pilot and front carb 162 and rear 140 mains

The 162 on the front had some copper wire wrapped around its thread and down through the jet for unknown reasons, so I have removed that

And also some idiot wasn't able to get floats back in properly so had used a cardboard shim to lock into place which I have also discarded

This bike, I think, was crashed and lost one of its twin silencers so had one pipe Frankensteined from both with them now coming out to an unbaffeled shorty can, which may or may not explain the jetting when I start it for next test ride...
