Update:

Done a round trip to Gatwick and back taking a different route home. Covered around £140 miles half of that 2 up and the seat was fine.

so anyone else has trouble with their seat closing and opening remove those bloody hooks.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

I might just try that! Iv got used to the knack of putting the seat on and off now but still is a faf and on the odd occasion gets on me tits :-)

I had the impossible seat removal thing too, but found Benny's thread for a cure. You bend the loops on the top of the subframe about 3- 5mm towards the front of the bike and the jobs a good'un.

BTW is that a £ a mile or 140 quids worth of flue ? :confused
