i mounted mine on the right hand side of the speedo. i used a small right angle bracket i had in the garage with a couple of self tapping screws into the side of the clock and 2 into the control box of the grips. I did make sure the screws where really short 1st :)

i like it there as is tucked out the way and doesn't look to un-original

Depends how well cooked you like your hands done!!

If you fit hot grips/heated handlebar grips etc don't make the mistake of wearing thick gloves for 'winter' riding. What actually happens is that the thick glove insulates the heat away from the hands. A good pair of fairly thin sportsbike gloves are best; really.
Yes, experience talking here. I remember last year having the grips on full rather than half power (just non nuclear Chuxsta) my hands weren't cold but not overly hot either. Took off my rh glove and grabbed grip to see if it was working.
Bl%dy fcukin' h*ll. The skin on my hand was almost left attached to the bike. 8O
Was really good when I used thinner gloves and could turn down the heat control to medium OK.
I suppose you could just have an on/off switch and keep turning it on or off as it suited you. Bit of a drag though eh?
These are like mine!

i got me some oxford hot grips, for £39.

didnt have to worry about mounting the temp controller as it came with a rather nifty bracket that mounted on the outside of the clamp where the clutch fits on the handle bars. will take a pic when i get chance..

but have to say wish i had swallowed my street cred a few years ago and bought this grips then....
just did a trip to my girlfriends and back this weekend and they are amazing..

just had my summer gloves on with some of those neoprene ( how ever you spell it. ) wind / waterproof over gloves..
tried it on 100% and 75% and it was WAAAAAAAAAY to hot...

I've been toying with the idea of heated grips for the scoot. I'm out on it at stupid o'clock every weekend doing the London Knowledge.
What sort of current draw do the grips take from the battery? I'm not sure the charging system on the Dylan will supply enough as the headlight is on all the time.

depending on the make - looking at the both grips drawing 15 watts on med & 30 on max. No problem with leccy system and with headlight on

Much recommended for warm toasty dabblers

Nice pick Wicky, but surely you have either :- a) pulled the sleaving on those three wires higher or b) carefully wrapped some black pvc tape around the 'exposed' wires by now.

Seeing those three/four coloured wires everytime I rode would drive me nutz!!!!
