HARRIS rear sets on the storm,

Post by chuxsta »

any one got or used harris rear sets on the storm?

if your using them any chance of a close upish pick of them on the bike?

if you have used them, where do you mount the exhausts cause the standard hangers have the exhaust mounting point molded in to them.

I've got Harris rearsets on mine when i got them they had an extre piece that bolts to the bottom of the rearset and allows you to use the mount on the standard pipes. At the time i didnt have standard pipes so i took them off and didnt bother with them. Think i may still have them if you cover the postage you can have them if i can find them. :D

harris do all replacement parts, there are some 3rd party stuff on ebay
like the rubber covered spigot on the gear shifter a tad cheaper than harris genuine parts.
the all metal stuff is gold only... which is great if you like gold...

either pay full wack from harris or bide your time from ebay.

yeah thats the bit - how much do you want?

I tried Harris but the customer service sucks - because I didn'have the code or the exact name as it was on their system they didn't care! My bike had them but my next one won't!

Oooo, that's a little unfair, their website is pretty good. The toe spigots are standard fitment for all.

https://www.harris-performance.com/ Search for "Spigot". You might also want the allen key bolts too... I don't think they are on the website though..

My complaint to Harris would be that their rearsets are not designed to crash, meaning if the parts (spigot and pegs) snap off, the allen key bolts are made of cheese. I have these on my track/crash bike and I've spent many a session trying to saw off the bolt. A true PITA...

Spares are also very useful to have.... (another thing I've learnt from experience!)
