CB1000

Post by chuxsta »

while at my Girlfriends in stockton found out they have a honda dealer so i would take a peek as there are non near where i live...
and i clapped eyes on the cb1000 and nearly passed out...

one reason i dont like to keep up to speed with new technology and gadgets etc is cause it makes me want them,,, if i dont know they are out i dont feel the need to want, simple way to save money.......

but oh my golly gOSH

Like it, but all flat surfaces from this view.
Panel beater off sick when they designed it, maybe?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

all the pictures i have found online of this bike dont do it any justice at all.. not even a smidge....

i had another look at the beast before i came home and it is jaw dropping from every angle....apart from the exhaust,,, i loathe these stubby cut short GP style crappy cans..
another gripe is the frame they have used.. its the same as on the hornet..
seems a shame when they have pimped it out with the front rear suspension breaks clocks and engine only to go and put a fooking frame with the strength of a margarine tub in.

have read a few owner reviews on it and although the genral story is they are cracking bikes, a few say it lacks some thing that would normaly make you smile or ya butt twitch..

cant wait to give one a blast, i really cant....
just wish i had not poked my head round the door of the shop cause i would never have known how good they look....

Don't worry about the exhaust, my mate Wayne at JACexhausts does the sexiest can you will ever see for the CB1000R.

On the release I took a trip to Grantham Honda. Like the look of em in Black or White but the cheeky buggers wanted £10 for a test ride. Italia moto let me take out the Duke 848 then a 749 to see what I thought (both worth more than the CB). Funnily enough I know what dealer will be getting my hard earned once it is available.
