Not that great here either , no rain , no winds ,but very damp and dull
Ive been trying to emulsion ,but prefer to do it in natural light ,but its so dull i needed to put the light on..mind you ,ive got "Man Flu" ,and the sweat was pissin from me , so only managed to paint one wall
Nae sympathy from the wife either ,women just dont understand that Man Flu is more serious than the type they get

Rode bike into town (Swindon) to take part in a charity collection. Road like a river. Feet and hands soaking wet (leather boots and gloves).
Started at 9am. Rain still hammering down. Freezing cold. Charity collection involved Santa on a slay with fibre glass reindeer. Lots of wet unhappy shoppers totally unimpressed with Yo Ho Ho Merry Christmas from the poor guy in soaking wet costume. But many still contributed generously.
Finished at 1 o'clock. Couldn't get gloves back on. managed to start bike and blow them through by holding 'em on end of exhaust can.
Road home fingers now truning black. Couldn't change gear 'cus couldn't feel left foot.
Got home. Wife shopping. No keys. Locked out. After half hour of raising hell and running down door bell battery, managed to wake up son who eventually staggered to door to let me in.
Made huge coffee with large tot of glenmorangie (waste I know). Heating up to max, feet on radiator.
Make note on calendar 2009. Don't volunteer for collections in winter.......

Stevie,

well it was yesterday
mind you that lot disappeared as quick as it arrived
Chris (LSM)
No chance of taking the bike out in that
John, (JL)
You're brave going on a bike run, but well done seeing as it was for charity
I've been there and got the tea shirt on the being locked out issue
I also found out the hard way, and now always leave home with a key to the house
I bet you will in the future too
Chris.

Good for you JL.
Awful when you feel like that eh?
Suggest you invest in one of these. Has helped me a few times after the front (only) door has blown shut and locked me out!!!
